The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and Chester County Detectives announced the arrest of John Lymberis, 57, of Parkesburg, in connection with an investigation involving the alleged possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

According to authorities, Lymberis has been charged with Sexual Abuse of Children, Digital Forgery, and several related offenses. Officials stated that he was arraigned before the Honorable J. Timothy Arndt and later released after posting 10 percent of a $35,000 bail amount. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for June 8, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.

Investigators say the case began after Chester County Detectives received a CyberTip report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children through the Delaware County ICAC Task Force. The report allegedly indicated that a user on the messaging platform KIK uploaded and distributed multiple images and videos containing child sexual abuse material.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators were able to identify the suspect through email accounts linked to the KIK profile and information provided by the ICAC Task Force. Authorities allege that the defendant also participated in several online chat rooms where images involving minors were exchanged and distributed. The investigation further alleges that some of the content involved artificial intelligence being used to create sexualized images of children.

District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe stated that the office remains committed to aggressively investigating and prosecuting crimes involving the exploitation of children. Officials are encouraging anyone with information connected to the investigation to contact Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866.

Authorities also emphasized that criminal charges are allegations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Law enforcement officials continue reminding the public about the importance of reporting suspected child abuse or exploitation. Anyone concerned about the safety of a child is urged to contact 911 and report concerns to Childline at 1-800-932-0313.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information may be released as court proceedings continue.
